About the observatory and Rewway

REWWay represents the competence center for inland waterway logistics initiated by the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria and the viadonau.  The aim of the cooperation is to promote the topic of inland waterways logistics in national and international research and educational institutions. In fact, the main focus is to equip logisticians and the population with knowledge of sustainable inland navigation and its connection in logistics chains. The REWWay platform represents an established and well-know platform for information about inland waterway transport.  The observatory of the IW-NET project is connected with the REWWay platform to use already existing resources also after the end of the project in long-term.  The observatory serves as a knowledge management resource to map data, technologies, trends and projects relevant for the inland waterway transport sector. It is structured in the four main issues:

• Environmentally friendly power options
• Legal framework
