Connecting Inland Waterway Transport to Intermodal Chains for a Sustainable Future

transport logistic 2023, held from May 9th to 12th in Munich, showcased ground-breaking innovations and progressive ideas in the logistics industry.  ISL (Institute of Shipping Economics and Logistics) and the IW-NET project were present on the joint stand of Bremen/Bremerhaven organized by bremenports.

The IW-NET project garnered attention from industry practitioners, policymakers, and logistics enthusiasts alike. Prof. Frank Arendt and Patrick Specht from ISL engaged in insightful discussions with influential figures such as Councillor of State Tim Cordßen-Ryglewski, who cooperates closely with the Bremen Senator of Science and Ports. These conversations shed light on the immense benefits and impact that IW-NET can bring to the logistics landscape.

transport logistic, recognized as the premier international trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT, and supply chain management, provided the ideal platform for ISL and the IW-NET project to shine. This four-day event witnessed over 75,000 visitors from more than 120 countries, along with 2,320 exhibitors from 67 countries. The international turnout exceeded 50%, demonstrating the global interest and importance of this industry.
