This (online) 2nd Stage PLATINA3 event will be hosted by the Central Commission for the Navigation of the Rhine (CCNR) with English as working language.
On the 19th of October you will be able to follow several keynote speeches by Inland Waterway Transport (IWT) specialists from the European Commission, the European Parliament and the business community.
The PLATINA3 Strasbourg sessions will also provide a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and learn more about the latest developments and upcoming challenges of IWT in Europe, following the publication of the NAIADES III Communication and Action Plan as well as the CCNR study on the energy transition towards a zero-emission inland navigation sector.
Topics such as economic and financial barriers to modal shift, funding and financing of the energy transition of the European IWT fleet, and the accurate European fleet data to support future EU policies will be on the agenda.
The PLATINA3 Strasbourg sessions will be entirely designed as an interactive event. It efficiently enables valuable and forward-looking exchanges between experts from the business sector, associations, institutions, international organisations and other key stakeholders from the IWT community.
